Working group grants

The Einaudi Center’s annual working group grant program is designed to support the establishment of multidisciplinary groups of scholars working collaboratively on critical global issues. Of special interest are issues that are normally considered technical, but where the stakes for ordinary citizens are high, and where non-technical perspectives are critically important.

Small grants and seed grants

The Einaudi Center offers a small grant program and a seed grant program to promote research and curriculum development by tenured and tenure-track faculty. Faculty members from any program, center, college, or school are eligible.

Funding databases

The center maintains a searchable database of faculty funding opportunities for international research support from foundations and agencies. It includes on-campus funding opportunities for international studies faculty and visiting scholars which is mainly addressed to scholars and faculty at other institutions seeking to expand their research interests through the use of Cornell's research facilities and interaction with students and faculty here.

For a search of more than 50,000 funding opportunities, you may use the Community of Science (COS) and GrantForward (formerly IRIS) databases. Both are available through Cornell's Office of Sponsored Programs. The Cornell Library also provides access to the Foundation Directory Online (select “Databases” and enter “Foundation Directory Online”).

An electronic funding newsletter is sent out approximately monthly throughout the year that focuses on specific regions, disciplines, and topics. Please contact us to subscribe.

The Einaudi Center also maintains a searchable database for postdoctoral opportunities in international studies.
