To promote research and curriculum development in international studies at Cornell the Einaudi Center offers a biannual small grant program and seed grant program. Tenured and tenure-track Cornell faculty are eligible to apply for these grants, as are Programs and Centers within the university, irrespective of their college or school of origin. Deadlines are in September and February every year.
The Einaudi Center maintains a searchable database of faculty funding opportunities for international research support. Our aim is to focus on opportunities from national and international foundations in addition to opportunities from government agencies. An electronic funding newsletter is sent out approximately monthly throughout the year that focuses on specific regions, disciplines, and specific topics. Please contact us to subscribe to our newsletter.
To make a comprehensive search of funding opportunities, please use the Community of Science Database (COS) and the Illinois Research Information Service (IRIS) databases. Both are available through the Office of Sponsored Programs offering over 50,000 potential funding opportunities.
The Einaudi Center publishes an annual report with on-campus funding opportunities for international studies faculty and visiting scholars. It is particularly addressed to scholars and faculty at other institutes and universities seeking to expand their research interests through the use of Cornell University's research facilities and interaction with students and faculty here. Please dowload the Report on on-campus funding opportunities under Attachments at the bottom of the page.
