Cornell Educational Resources for International Studies coordinates the outreach efforts of internationally focused student organizations at Cornell. Our Performance and Speakers’ Bureau offers Cornell students opportunities to give presentations, activities, performances, and demonstrations in local elementary, middle, and high school classes.

Examples of current offerings include but are not limited to:

• The history, food and culture of India;
• Immigration from Latin America;
• Issues in the Middle East;
• Women and Islam in Pakistan and Southeast Asia;
• Introductions to Africa or the European Union;
• Hands-on demonstrations of Adinkra stamping and Kente weaving from Ghana;
• Salsa dancing from Latin America; and
• Performances of Greek or Turkish dancing.

CERIS is excited to be a link between student organizations and local schools. As such, we welcome student organizations to contact us for information on how to participate. We also invite local educators to fill out a Request for Outreach Support Form or contact:
