Description: This information session focuses on the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies International Research Travel Grants that provide support for students conducting short-term research and/or fieldwork in countries outside the United States any time during the period April 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Eligible are students enrolled in an approved course of study at Cornell University leading to a Masters or PhD degree. The application process is now open and the deadline for the on-line submission of applications is February 4, 2013.

CIIFAD is holding three information sessions for its 2013 Student Multidisciplinary Applied Research Team (SMART) Program on September 11, 13, and 17, 2012. The sessions will take place from 5:00-6:30 PM in 160 Mann Library. Anyone interested in learning about the program and applying for a project should plan to attend one of the sessions. Each will provide detailed information about the eight different SMART projects, which will work with private enterprises, nongovernmental organizations, and communities in Malaysia, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda, and Zambia.
