Aalayna Rae Green is pursuing her PhD in Natural Resources & the Environment along with a graduate minor in Feminist, Gender & Sexuality Studies. Her research interests include the gender dimensions of conservation and environmental justice. Aalayna's research centers on the gender dimensions of militarized conservation. Aalayna works with communities in the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area in Southern Africa to interrogate the gender implications of conservation-related violence.
