Alexis Marquez is a second-year master of regional planning student in the Department of City and Regional Planning, focusing on international development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Marquez is also a 2022 recipient of the Lourdes Benería Award, conducting research in the Dominican Republic to better understand how capacity-building programs are designed and implemented to help reduce labor migration in agriculture-based communities along the Dominican-Haitian border.
