José Ragas

Global Public Voices Fellow
José Ragas is an assistant professor of history, science, and technology studies at Universidad Catolica, Chile. Previously, he was a Mellon postdoctoral fellow in Cornell's Department of Science and Technology. As a 2020–21 Global Public Voices fellow, he is collaborating with Raymond Craib.
His research areas include science and technology studies, global history, and digital history with a focus on surveillance. He is working on a book manuscript titled Andean Big Brothers: Unstable Bodies and Technology in the Age of Global Surveillance.
