LASP Visiting Scholar 2020-21
Mario Pastore is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Paraguay, appointed by the coalition government of National Unity. A PhD in economics, he has taught the discipline at several U.S. colleges and universities. He has published his research on economic history in refereed economics and Latin American studies journals and is académico de número of the Paraguayan Academy of History since 2000. He also frequently contributes articles on current economic problems to the press.
