The AGFUND International Prize for Pioneering Human Development Projects is an annual prize established in 1999 by the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) to highlight the innovative experiences and to continuously support the distinguished efforts in the field of human development and its proper management. The fund invites the United Nations, international and regional organizations, ministries and public institutions, national Non-governmental organizations and individuals worldwide to submit nominations as deemed eligible for the AGFUND International Prize for Pioneering Human Development Projects.

The objectives of the prize are the following:

1- Support the distinguished efforts aiming at the promotion and development of the concepts and dimensions of human development.
2- Disseminate the successful project experiences.
3-Highlight the best practices, which aim to improve the living conditions of the poor and disadvantaged with particular emphasis on women and children.
4- Enhance the exchange of experiences and develop better mechanisms to find solutions to the problems of poverty, marginalization and socioeconomic exclusion of vulnerable group. 

Subject for 2018 AGFUND Prize is “End of poverty in all its forms everywhere” Eligible projects are those implemented in the developing countries to best contribute to the achievement of one or more of the targets of the fourth of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 “Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning“. 

Deadline for receiving nominations is 30 November 2018.
