About

The Migrations Program is a community of interdisciplinary scholars who study our world on the move. Our expertise and research inform real-world policies and outcomes for the people, animals, and living things that migrate from place to place on our planet.

Migrations began as Cornell's first Global Grand Challenge in 2019 to study global, multispecies migration. In our next phase as part of the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, we continue the work of studying movement across borders, themes of racism and dispossession, and migration of all living things.
