IES 2022 Awards and Fellowships
IES awards $125,000 in grants and fellowships to students and faculty from across Cornell.
We are pleased to announce the Institute for European Studies 2022 awards for faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students. Our grants and fellowships support research in Europe and projects focused on European studies.
As travel to Europe becomes an option again after the pandemic years, applications to our grants and fellowships have increased, making for a competitive awards year. We have awarded a total of $125,000 to students and faculty from across Cornell colleges and departments.
Our awardees study in a variety of disciplines, including History, Government, Anthropology, Classics, Musicology, Development Sociology, Romance and German Studies, Performing and Media Arts, Public Affairs, and Natural Resources and the Environment. They will travel for research to The United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, and Poland.
Congratulations to all winners of our awards, and best of luck with research and travel to Europe!
