Your Einaudi Center Experience
The Einaudi Center and our nine international studies programs welcome visiting scholars and practitioners from around the world to conduct research, pursue major projects, and work with Cornell faculty and students.
As an Einaudi visiting scholar, you have the opportunity to:
- Conduct your own research or professional project.
- Collaborate with Cornell researchers.
- Participate in weekly seminars, workshops, and other Einaudi events and activities.
- Access the Cornell University Library, including rare collections.
Visiting scholar appointments are unpaid and range from several weeks to a year, renewable for a maximum of three years.
Our visiting scholars are often on leave from academic institutions. Some are Fulbright scholars; business, industry, or government professionals; or practitioners, including architects, artists, musicians, and writers. All share their unique expertise with the Einaudi community and enrich Cornell's intellectual vitality.
Meet Our Visiting Scholars
Across the Einaudi Center, visiting scholars are at work conducting research, collaborating with faculty and students, and contributing to Cornell's campus community. Meet our current visiting scholars.
Recent Visitors’ Voices
Abdul Haque Chang (Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan)
South Asia Program Visiting Scholar, Spring 2025
“I was especially drawn to the interdisciplinary spirit that thrives across departments. It encouraged me to think beyond the boundaries of anthropology, music, or literature and instead see connections that expanded my creative and scholarly horizons.”
Ratri Istania (Populi Center, Indonesia)
Southeast Asia Program Visiting Scholar, Fall 2024
“A highlight of my fellowship was diving into the renowned Echols Collection at Olin Library. The library’s vast resources, including rare archives and extensive online materials, were invaluable for my study. Given the limitations of resources in Indonesia, this access has been a precious asset.”
