Moto Yoshihara is a PhD student at the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and the inaugural Dick and Rosalie Bush Fellow of Economic Warfare at the U.S. Air Force Academy. His work sits between academic economics and contemporary statecraft, examining how emerging economic weapons reshape the conflicts they are meant to influence, and what their second-order consequences mean for the policymakers who wield them. A practitioner as well as a scholar, he has served in a range of roles across more than a decade in the U.S. Army.
