Rafael Torralvo da Silva

Rafael Torralvo is a violinist and musicologist whose academic research focuses on the intersection between music, literature, and politics to analyze the construction of national identity in Brazil during the military dictatorship (1964-1985). He holds a BM and an MM in violin performance from James Madison University and West Chester University of Pennsylvania respectively, and an MM in Musicology from the University of Miami. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Musicology at Cornell University.
