Sarah Pattison
Associate Director of Academic Programs
Sarah Pattison is the associate director for academic programs at the Einaudi Center. She is a seasoned professional in international higher education with experience developing and managing area and international studies programs.
At the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor campus, Sarah supported the International Institute, where she helped to develop and launch the Master's in International and Regional Studies (MIRS) program. At the University of Michigan-Flint campus, Sarah led efforts to establish the Center for Global Engagement and oversaw international partnerships, international student and scholar services, and education abroad.
Before her tenure at the University of Michigan, Sarah directed the Center for Global Education at the University of Central Missouri. In all her roles, Sarah has increased and diversified student participation in global education, expanded grant funding, and guided cross-campus efforts to innovate and enhance global learning.
Sarah holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota's Leadership for Intercultural and International Education (LIIE) program. Her research brings a relational perspective to change processes in international higher education. She also earned two master's degrees from St. John's University, one in Global Development and Social Justice and the other in Education (TESOL).
