Please note that the date for this lecture has been changed to Wednesday, March 26, 2025. About the Speaker Samera Esmeir is associate professor in the Department of Rhetoric at UC Berkeley. Her research is at the intersection of law, political thought, and Middle Eastern studies. She is the author of Juridical Humanity: A Colonial History (Stanford University Press, 2012) and is currently working on a book with the working title The Struggle that Remains: Between the World and the International.
