Planning an international trip?

Students may apply to SEAP for up to $3,000 of funding for international study, research, and internships in Southeast Asia, as part of a class or independently. Complete the online application describing your plans, how the experience fits in with your academic goals and pathway, and explaining your sources of funding and anticipated expenses. The experience may be a structured program offered by Cornell, or self-identified by students. Apply at least six weeks before your planned travel.

1. Study (e.g., ILR Vietnam Winter Engaged Learning Program, GDEV Faculty-Led Study Trip: Climate Change and Socio-Environmental Transformation in the Mekong Delta)
2. Research (typically organized in close consultation with SEAP faculty)
3. Internships (typically organized in close consultation with SEAP staff)

Amount

Up to $3,000.

Eligibility

• Undergraduates who have taken at least one semester (3+ credits) of a Southeast Asian Language and/or a Southeast Asia area studies course.

Timeline

Fall applications are reviewed on October 15.

Spring applications are reviewed on March 15.
