The Savannah Dialogues is an Institute for African Development forum.
Its aim is to provide an online platform where academics, researchers, and policymakers exchange views on current political, economic, legal, and social issues on African development in line with IAD’s mandate of strengthening and expanding the depth and breadth of African development studies.
IAD believes that dialogue increases the capacity for cutting edge solutions to complex development challenges. The interplay of different competencies leads to a rich and varied discussion and debate.
Further, participation in dialogues fosters joint exploration of alternatives to existing models. It broadens and fills a representational gap by providing a forum for rigorous scholarship committed to the prospects of new options for action.
