Resources for Educators

We work with New York State educators to educate the next generation of global citizens. Get involved with our professional development offerings, teaching materials, cultural opportunities, and more for K–12 teachers and faculty at community colleges in our region.

No matter where in the world you’d like to take your students, we have opportunities for you to learn and to bring the world to your classroom.

Campus Visits

We facilitate visits from Cornell faculty, visiting scholars, and advanced graduate students to community colleges in New York State. Recent visit topics include: an introduction to playing the Javanese gamelan, climate emergency and the ecology of hope, and understanding freshwater soundscapes in the Brazilian Amazon.

Author Bushra Rehman's visit to Tompkins Cortland Community College was like a rose blooming in the midst of a bleak February. Attendees from all across the campus enjoyed the reading, and creative writing students in particular felt engaged by her warm Q&A style. She even offered her own copy of her novel to a curious young writer. What a gift to enjoy a renowned writer in our midst!
