Cristina Florea Named Winner of the 2026 Barbara Jelavich Book Prize

Cristina Florea, associate professor of history, has been awarded the 2026 Barbara Jelavich Book Prize, which recognizes a distinguished monograph on any aspect of Southeast European or Habsburg studies since 1600, or nineteenth- and twentieth-century Ottoman or Russian diplomatic history. She received the honor for her book, Bukovina: The Life and Death of an East European Borderland (Princeton University Press).
