International Relations Minor

Twenty students graduated in 2018 with minors in International Relations.

The International Relations Minor is open to students in any of Cornell's undergraduate colleges. Offering courses from across the university, it provides a structured yet flexible program for studying the politics, economics, history, languages, and cultures of the world. 

Graduates have gone on to successful careers in fields such as international law, economics, agriculture, trade, finance, journalism, education, and government service. For more information on the minor's requirements please see the brochure here.

See the attached PDFs for a listing of approved courses. All IR Minor courses must be taken for a grade. If you have questions about whether a specific course will count toward the minor, please contact the administrative coordinator.

Note that spending a semester or year abroad can help students meet the minor's requirements, including the language requirement.
