Agnieszka Nimark

Affiliated Scholar
Agnieszka Nimark is an expert in collective peacekeeping and security. She holds a master’s degree in international public law and international organizations from the University of Paris 1-Pantheon-Sorbonne and a PhD in law from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy. Nimark has been affiliated with PACS since 2014, first as a long-term Visiting Scholar (2014-2025) then as Affiliated Scholar. Her research at Cornell focuses on nuclear disarmament education and anti-nuclear movements of the 1980s. As an affiliated scholar at PACS, she works on various archival, oral history, and educational projects related to nuclear disarmament. Nimark coordinates a Working Group on Nuclear Disarmament Education and is involved in various initiatives focused on the improvement of peace and disarmament education. Nimark is also a non-resident Associate Senior Researcher in Global Geopolitics and Security at Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) in Spain and she represents CIDOB within the European Union Nuclear Nonproliferation and Disarmament Consortium/Network (EUNPDC).
