Eve Devillers' research focuses on the political economy of natural resource governance. Her interests include extractivism, critical minerals, energy transitions,climate finance, land and resource grabbing, and commoning. Previously, she worked as a researcher at the Oakland Institute, investigating the impacts of market-based climate and development policies on local livelihoods and land rights. Her empirical work has spanned diverse regions and topics,including carbon offsetting in East Africa, carbon capture and storage in the US Midwest, and gold mining in Nicaragua. She has also contributed to various non-profit organizations dedicated to promoting just and sustainable food systems.
