Khaysy Srithilat

Visiting Scholar
Khaysy Srithilat is a Visiting Scholar at Cornell University’s Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) for the 2024-2025 academic year. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Dongbei University of Economics and Finance, China, with a focus on monetary policy, development economics, and environmental economics. Srithilat has gained valuable international experience through research fellowships at Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia (2019-2020) and Hunan University of Science and Technology in China (2024). His research has significantly influenced economic policy making in Laos, particularly in in combating inflation and promoting economic stability.
Srithilat is also a recognized pioneer in the advancement of academic publishing in Laos. He has developed and supported several online journal platforms aimed at increasing the visibility and standards of research in Laos. During his time at Cornell, supported by the US-ASEAN Fulbright Program, he looks forward to collaborating with distinguished professors at SEAP to explore the effects of U.S. monetary policy changes on ASEAN trade dynamics. He is delighted to become a member of and to collaborate with SEAP's research community.
