Office Space

Limited office space is available for faculty, visiting fellows, and graduate students associated with the Southeast Asia Program.

For graduate students: Priority is given to PhD students who have been active in the program and who are writing up their dissertations or studying for A exams. Master's students and pre-A exam PhD students affiliated with SEAP are welcome to apply, however, and will be offered space if available.

The George McT. Kahin Center for Advanced Research on Southeast Asia is located in the handsome and historic Treman House.

Photo Collections

There is not one single history of the Cornell Southeast Asia Program, and the diverse and fascinating stories of our alumni and faculty are rich reminders of the deep ties that have been formed with each other while contributing to the study of Southeast Asia over the past seven decades.

Teaching Materials

SEAP outreach offers both physical and digital Southeast Asian studies teaching materials for educators at all levels, from elementary to post-secondary. The materials cover the history, geography, and cultures of Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

Outreach

The Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) connects educators, students, and community members with resources to deepen understanding of the histories, cultures, and languages of Southeast Asia. Through teaching materials, professional development opportunities, and a lending library, SEAP supports the integration of Southeast Asia into classrooms and public programs.

Publications

SEAP Publications, an imprint of Cornell University Press, publishes and distributes academic books and a semiannual journal on Indonesia. SEAP Publications seeks to make scholarship on Southeast Asia widely available to interested readers.
