Leila Wilmers studies nationalism, nationhood, identity, memory, narratives and contexts of ethnic and racial diversity, particularly in post-Soviet states, with a current focus on Russia. She teaches a course on nationalism and identity and leads a research exchange group on this theme.

Kora E. Bättig von Wittelsbach is director of the Cornell-in-Turin Summer Program in modern European politics and the recipient of the Carpenter Award for Distinguished Advising and Clark Award for Distinguished Teaching.
